Every season brings new briefs from Europe and North America. These are the directions we are hearing most often as buyers plan their next collections.
Sculptural shapes
Bucket bags, crescent and half-moon shapes, and softly structured totes are replacing the plain rectangle. Silhouette is doing more of the selling than ever.
Two-tone and contrast weaves
Natural fibre woven against a coloured or black warp adds depth without a print. It photographs well and reads as premium.
Functional linings
Buyers increasingly want internal pockets, zip closures and water-resistant linings — the bag has to work, not just look good.
Neutral, earthy palettes
Sand, clay, olive and warm brown continue to dominate, giving natural fibres a timeless, sustainable feel.
